AMS College fair: Reflections and debriefs:
On October 7, 2025, the AMS Seniors and Juniors attended the annual college fair hosted by our new college counselor, Ms.Kio Sandoval. This was Ms.Kio’s first year running the college fair fully.
During the college fair we had schools like Lehman, St.Johns, and Dominican university. There were also other institutions as well, such as the fire department, the Navy, and the Marines. When asked what was something she would do differently next year, Kio said,“More schools and other types of opportunities.” She also said,“Next year, I think I want to build more hype around it, like announce the date earlier, get students excited, maybe give a sneak preview of what colleges are going to be in attendance to get students excited for it.”
Ms.Kio did a wonderful job with this year’s college fair and AMS is excited to see what will happen in the foreseeable future.
