Gossip Girl (written by. Robert Hull & Joshua Safran, and directed by. Mark Piznarski) is a sitcom and drama filled with the chaos that goes on behind the scenes of the upper class. This episode is a Thanksgiving filled with drama, and it’s sure to lift your spirits. It reminds you that sometimes everyone’s life is a mess, or that holidays don’t go as intended.

In this episode, the Vanderwoodsons hold a Thanksgiving dinner, and everyone is spilling secrets. Things that should remain hidden are exposed. In Gossip Girl season 3, episode 11, the plot is amusing and filled with drama. The Vanderwoodsons decided it would be great for them to host a Thanksgiving dinner since Rufus (Mathew Settle) wants to feel at home with the Vanderwoodsons. Things couldn’t get messier. Nate’s cousin, who is a congressman, is joined by his wife, Maureen Vanderbilt (Holly Faint). Tripp (Aaron Tveit) and Serena lock eyes, knowing they have a secret they are keeping, and Maureen has grown suspicious of their peculiar behavior. At that moment, all of the people are in their seats at the table, and everyone ends up confronting the person they have problems with right at dinner.

Maureen confronts Serena and Tripp about their affair and blackmails them, butSerena’s mother, Lily (Kelly Ruthford), overhears!Thanksgiving dinner has officially erupted in chaos, and everyone is arguing. Blair (Leighton Meester) argues with her mother about her suspicions that she’s pregnant, Vanessa (Jessica Szhorn) with her mother because she can’t mind her own business, and Maureen with Serena (Blake Lively) and Tripp about their affair.
The result is hilarious rich people dealing with issues while at a fancy dinner, and everyone chooses to confess it at the worst time. Even if you aren’t rich you’ll see class doesn’t determine whether or not the people you hang around are better or worse; everyone has their issues. Gossip Girl is an amazing recommendation. The actors are great. You even empathize with them or feel their frustration, especially when Lily witnesses the affair between Trip and Serena. Not only is there a juicy plot in every episode, but if you ever feel like a holiday isn’t going great you’ll definitely feel relief and release a few giggles. We’d rate it a 10/10.
