Have you ever come out of school hungry after 6-7 hours of doing schoolwork? Or for juniors and seniors, are you hungry after 4 hours of not eating food? Well, I got the solution for this issue. Today I’ll provide all my Top 5 fast food restaurants and groceries around the area to eat during lunch or after school.

McDonald’s

One of the biggest if not the biggest chain fast food restaurants in the U.S., McDonald’s is a go-to in my list. Although I rarely go to this McDonald’s I recommend it because they always have deals. Especially on the McDonald’s app where you can get 20-piece chicken nuggets for $5, or the $5 meal where you can get a mcchicken or a cheeseburger with fries, 4-piece chicken nuggets, and a small drink. The distance from McDonald’s to the school can be a little far but it’s not as bad as our second to last in this list. To be honest, McDonald’s is just the real deal.
2. La Parada Latina

Dominican food, snacks, and all types of stuff can be found here. But this store has gained a lot of popularity for their food. Such as their $6 meal where you can get your choice of rice, beans, and protein. If you want an even cheaper meal, you can get the $2 snack where you get 2 pieces of chicken chunks with fries and your choice of sauce/sauces. Most of the time this place is crowded during lunch which can cause customer service to not be so great, so if you want to come here, make sure to come outside once the bell rings or after 12:45 where you’ll be able to find it partially empty. Lastly, I wouldn’t recommend buying snacks from here; most of the time they are expired, but the food is good!
3. AZ and AMA Deli’s

If hot/cold Sandwiches, wraps, or snacks are what you are looking for, this is where you need to come. These two delis owned by the same person offer you good customer service. Most especially AZ Deli & grill where the storeman and I have a good friendship having conversations about school and just random things. But the food both offer is very good as well. From chopped cheese to a chicken cutlet on a roll or a hero, they got it. Whatever you ask for, they’ll make it for you. No matter how weird it sounds they’ll make it. It may get packed every now and then but you’ll always make it back on time before lunch ends.
4. Wendy’s

Here at Wendy’s, you can get burgers and nuggets just like McDonald’s. The difference would be that they don’t have as many deals as McDonald’s. Also, their portions are smaller and sometimes it can be very pricey for some of the students. The burgers are good, just the fries that aren’t very competitive to these other industries. For Wendy’s, I would recommend both the burgers and the saucy nuggets, whichever you’d find appetizing the most, or both. The only warning I’ll give you is, that the walk back to the school is going to feel like an eternity unless you
5. Papa Johns

Papa Johns, one of the best pizza industries in the world, is in my top 5. They offer you an option of sizes from a small pie to a large pie with whatever toppings you’d like. You can buy wings and breadsticks there as well. The food in this place is good as well but the reason why I placed it lower is the amount of time you have to wait for them to make it. Unless you call beforehand, you can go pick it up and take it or the luck of no one being in there can get you to exit earlier than others. The waiting time for a pizza is 15 minutes which is not long but including the walk back to the school it’ll take a third or even half of your lunch time.
Finding places or picking a place to eat when you are hungry during lunch or after school may be difficult, that’s why I made this list. Although the article says top 5, this article is to help you know where to eat. If you would like more information about these restaurants don’t hesitate to contact me at [email protected] or call their phone number/ website if provided.
