Mr. McCausland took the 10th-graders on a trip to Storm King on November 7 to see the art and the unique structures. Storm King is an art center and is an open-air museum in New Windsor, New York. It contains perhaps the largest collection of contemporary outdoor sculptures in the United States.
Around 61 students went on the trip. Mr. McCausland said, “they’ll have a consistent trip for 10 graders” and there might be another trip but not necessarily to StormKing. “It’s a consistent trip because in 10th grade, you get out of our fundamentals. And then we have the painting in the sculpture class and so that’s an intro trip for sculpture. It’s a sculpture park.” There’s not going to be a similar trip because they have to try something different next year.
